Measure and Track your SEO Strategy

The basic definition that you will find is SEO “search engine optimization.” It is the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “c,” “editorial” or “natural” search results on search engines. Basically, the higher you appear on most of the search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo and so on) and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, which means that people are visiting the website.

There are various ways of measure of your SEO Strategy:

Traffic

Search Ranking doesn’t necessarily mean the website is doing well but traffic is the metric that matters. Does your site appear at the right search term and keywords are used. It’s always good to monitor the websites organic search traffic and the key searches. This will bring you the relevant traffic with loads of conversions. For example, if you customising shoes and handbags, you might use keyword phrases like this:

Measure

The end goal should be measurable. Depending on your marketing strategy whether it is to increase sales or brand awareness or lead generations. All the traffic in the world is irrelevant if it doesn’t convert. This is where measuring comes into play. Are the visitors downloading your brochure? Are your getting inquiries through the website form? Conversions can be any of the above and more—depending on the outcome you’re looking for. Google analytics can be used for setting up goals and monitor conversions. You can easily see which keywords words or search terms are creating these conversions. You can also look at the returning visits and the time spend on the website. Have tracking on your form about customer that have abandoned the registrations.
